Start using Mumsnet Premiumoptaflu flu vaccine (novartis)
(2 Posts)Is anyone familiar with it or used it in pregnancy?
I've been offered it as I'm allergic to eggs and the local surgery will order it in for me.
I'm a little put off it as it hasn't been trialled clinically on pregnant women yet but I'm also worried about the effects of flu. I'm struggling to find enough peer reviewed information on it online.
I'd appreciate advice on what to do. I'm leaning in favour of getting it due to how serious flu can be.
Thanks
Hi there
Know this post is old but I'd also be grateful to know anything more about optaflu - as far as I can see it should be good as it's a thimerosal free flu vaccine - but does anyone have any thoughts / experiences with it?
Thanks so much
Laura
