Place marking!

So tired today. Doesn't help that maternity trousers are related to the pyjama!

Thread 8! Gosh.

I think there's a Friday 13th vibe about the place today. I'm having a blue day too MTB - my dad died just before my DS was born and so I relate to all the things that you've said. I try to talk about him to the kids but they are quite young (4 and 2) and so anything they do say is quite upsetting - DS said recently "But your dad must be so sad not to come to our house", "why doesn't he want to see us" etc, they don't really get the "dead" thing yet. DS thinks everyone dies when they are 100. At the moment I'm just too emotional to talk to them about it and that feels depressing too, like he's been forgotten! Sad

DS starts school finally on Monday. He is desperate to start and driving me MAD but I'm quite emotional about that too, not least because it's not our first choice school. It's a nice school but quite a trek. I was really expecting a place to come up for our first choice school on the waiting list (we were 5th) but it didn't. So feeling a bit about it which is such a middle class problem because it's still a great school!

DH has been working until 9 or 10pm every night and now he's on a stag do for the weekend. I'm SO BORED!!!!!! And a bit blue for some reason. Mainly not seeing DH much as he's working so hard which means everything at home is down to me. I'm on such a short fuse with the kids, feeling like a shouty mum at the moment and wondering why on earth we are having another!

Rant over. Sorry about that. Blush

Anyone got any fun exciting plans for the weekend that I could copy?!

Hello all. Sorry to hear of your losses MTB and Pirates.

Nothing exciting planned for the weekend. Buying a new kettle. Sleeping. Cooking roast chicken for lunch.

Someone inspire me for tonight's tea?

Pirate - I'm so sorry to hear about your dad - it's just awful losing a parent.

DD was just 3 when it happened, and we explained everything to her so she gets the whole death thing, she's such a sweetie and if I'm having a bad day will come up and give me a cuddle and tell me "It's ok to cry, we all miss her"

Maybe we all need to treat ourselves to a glass of schloer this weekend. My house is a tip and pretty much packed up but I have my best mate and my sister over this weekend, so hopefully they'll just ignore the lack of belongings

Definitely been there pirates! So glad I can get a bit of peace each day as they are both at school/pre school. Dd is shattered from it though and she is asleep right now!

I'm having a day where I feel really excited about the baby. I just can't wait to have him here! Plus I don't love being pregnant so I want it to go fast.

Rock maybe a little late - but have you tried bicarbonate of soda on the cold sore? hurts like mofo but tends to burn it off

On phone so excuse me for not getting all names but my hugs to all those who have lost someone dear and always spare a few moments to remember them

Happy news and congrats for all movements and scanees

Twice today its felt like something poking me from the inside Confused Not sure if that's my little blueberry (I stuck with that fruit stage because it was cute) or indigestion

Off to a friends baby shower (8months) this weekend so excited to see what happens

Have a nice one peeps - Smile

Gawj with my course With the NCT, it said for babies due in late feb, march and early April. So that's the one I went for. I'm quite pleased as I'll be sort of in the middle!

Oops posted too soon. Ours is 8 weeks and starts mid December with a three week Christmas break in the middle. I think we have 4 weeks in jan, so you should be about right!

Last time I started ante natal at 32 weeks, finished at 35 weeks. Most people were 38/39 weeks though.

I've booked my antenatal classes today with Lazy Daisy. It's a 6 week course starting 4 November, I'll be 23-ish weeks. The lady said they take women from 14 weeks so that works for me.

She also does a couples workshop from 30 weeks so we'll do that together.

Wohoo!!! I can relax. Scan went well (apart from the baby moving everytime they tried to measure it!!) it took an hour!!!
All results came back very low risk.

I'm so relieved!! Now the weekend begins!! Grin and the shopping - I've not looked at anything yet so now the fun begins!! Grin

I haven't seen anyone else who was meant to scan today - have they been on to say?

Pirates and MTB living with loss is just so difficult. Sending hugs.

I veer between wishing things to hurry along and worrying about being at home, sleep deprived and managing another! On the one hand, I'm finding work pretty tough - I need to work late most week nights and I'm struggling, so the idea of being at home and not having to send DS to daycare is lovely. On the other hand, don't want to wish the weeks away and determined to enjoy this time with DS before I have to divide my attention!

Any word from Raspberry yet - hope all is okay.
