Currently pregnant and have ME/CFS

hi i am waiting for confirmation on a diagnose of ME later this month but have joined a lovely facebook group and a few people on their have or are expecting and i think the general idea is that your symptoms improve during pregnancy.

Waves, just seen your thread. I have had ME for mmmteen years, its well managed and under control.

So far being pregnant and having ME is so similar I am doubting I'm pregnant as I seem to cope much better than all the healthy mums to be!

I'm 14+ 4 due in March. My nausea stared to subside at 9weeks and have not really suffered much else since. Great thing about pregnancy tired is you sleep and wake up refreshed, wonderful feeling.

I've had ME/CFS for about 10 years although I've only recently been diagnosed (2 months ago). I'm now also 5 weeks along! So far the prevailing sign of early pregnancy is the sudden need to sleep more, and well for someone who struggled with mornings anyway it now means I'm oversleeping every day. Fingers crossed this improves?!

Normally I'd manage my symptoms with medications - I suffer with awful myalgia and get pain in my legs and arms. I was taking strong pain relief before going to bed which I've now stopped. Does anyone else have any problems with medications they can no longer continue during pregnancy?

Clearly the insomnia tonight is preparing me well for the many years ahead.....!!

thought I would pop in and say hi I have had ME for 13 years cant belive its that long it is under control but i get bad bouts of depression when i get very tired
Being 19 weeks pregnant i am tired but it is a diffrent tired and i am on a high at the moment wich is great, i have not felt like this in years
I am worried about what will happen when baby is here but i will try not to worry about that now just hope i stayon this high
I try to pace myself though and use being pregnant to get extra rest
