The one where hopefully we are feeling less nauseous and knackered (although we develop hippo hands and feet due to the heat!), we are entering or are in our second trimester (phew!), we continue with 12 week scans and test results (ekkk!), we have 16 week midwife appointments and hear the heartbeat (OMG - aw!), we potentially see the beginnings of bumps and feel the first flutters of movement (wow!) and the 20 week scan for some is just around the corner! Grin

Oh and we try to improve our diets after surviving on one food group during the first trimester!!! Wink

Bring it on thread 7!!!

(pod hope I did you proud)!

mrsv I am now itching to buy something after the 20 week scan and with DH off on his summer hols its the best time for me to persuade him to come looking with me! Grin I really wanna either get or know what I am gonna get ready for the little one, although I weakened yesterday and bought a jelly cat toy monkey which is soooo soft, and two baby grows with Tom and Jerry on - they were on sale!

Had another quick listen with the doppler this morning to calm the sudden paranoia and found the heartbeat straight away and it sounded as though the little monkey was doing flips in there! Literally listened for 30 secs and then stopped, but it put a massive smile on my face! Grin

I'm still quite knackered, and sleeping badly at night. But I'm so grateful for not feeling sick any more that I don't mind :)

Toby I try to remember how lucky I am to finally be over that horrible nausea for the most part every day! At the time it felt as though it would never end, but now I feel like a different person! Grin Such a relief!

Hi everyone, checking in. Great to see you all. Feel like I haven't seen Toby in a while.

sultana where are your Tom and Jerry gros from? Are they h and m?

Still not much energy tarka. I've been told to stop taking my multivits by the consultant as if there's a possibility I have the thalassemia trait it'd send me into iron overload. So am worse than usual atm.

Hi ladies
Its been such a long time since I posted anything on here but I catch up with all the goss most weeks. But today I need your advice. When I woke up yesterday and went to the toilet when I wiped there was brown discharge quite alot initially then throughout the day it got less but its still there today. I have also been having mild period type pains spoke to a midwife friend of mine who said this can be quite normal and only worry of it turns red! Im now 15 weeks and absolutely terrified. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Im going to ring my own midwife in the morning but im so scared.

Hi all, checking in! Just back from a festival with DP and DS. Loved it, but so glad I took ear plugs to sleep in.

Pram wise, we've got a Quinny buzz from last time which I hope will be alright, given it's five years old. I need to check if the maxi cosi seats you can buy now still fit the old adaptors. Really don't want to buy a new pram, they cost so much money and I loved my old one!

penny we're in the middle of selling the house at the minute, hoping to be out mid October depending on how things go. The market is moving pretty fast ( we were on the market for a week before accepting an offer) so it might work out if you know where you want to be?

I think I felt a little wriggle yesterday! Felt DS at 16 weeks so not a million miles from that!

fuls I had brown bleeding for 10 days around 8 weeks and mild cramping. All was fine - no explanation for the bleeding on exam. I was told its not normal but its very common. Try not to worry too much at this point (easier said than done I know)! Can u contact your own mw tomorrow?

Tarka I think the model changed it about 2007. I had DD in late 2008, so got the newest model then. It's not that they won't fit in the Quinny, more that after 15 months or so, they want to walk so I ended up driving the Quinny one handed while also chasing after a small child. So I kind of stopped using it most of the time around that age. I think if you had a more chilled child, they might well use it for longer.

Hi all. Hope everyone is doing ok and starting to feel a good bit better. I've been hibernating due to some bleeding. Is anyone still waiting for test results? Feel like I have completely lost track of everyone.

Fuls I'm 16 weeks and started to bleed last week. Went to hospital (our local unit is very good) and they scanned me and said my placenta was lying over my cervix and that was probably causing the bleeding. I was advised if it happened again to head back up. On Thursday I started bleeding a small amount again and went back up. They again scannned me and baby was fine and there was no sign of blood in my womb. They took a good look at my cervix and said I have ectropian - the lining of womb grows on cervix- and that could also be causing some bleeding. So at the minute they're not sure why I'm bleeding. I've also been having some cramps which is terrifying.

Have you tried phoning the hospital emergency obstetric unit to see if they will see you. They told me if I start bleeding larger amounts to be worried but if it was just on wiping/small amounts to just take it easy and monitor it. FX you get some answers!

On the other thread someone was talking about sickness. I am still vomiting every morning as soon as I eat my breakfast - like literally just making it to kitchen sink - but I them feel completely fine after I'm sick and can eat normally for the rest of the day. Strange... Hmm

Just checking in.

fuls I have had brown discharge for 24 hours when wiping at 8 weeks and 12 weeks so half expecting it at 16 weeks too. Am wishing for my 16 week midwife app to arrive so i can hear the heartbeat and know everything is still ok in there. Although I did think i felt something the other night but wonder if it's still too early for a first timer (15 weeks).

I still lack energy and motivation and still getting lots of waves of sickness. If i dont eat first thing then I am running to the bathroom half being sick.
Really want my energy to return but I am def more open to different foods now. Getting more excited about more and more meals so hopefully making some progress.

Buggy/pram wise we are having a travel system. Have no idea what one as it's from my sister, but it's free on loan so we will take it.

Fuls, when I had my first major bleed at about 8 weeks it was at a weekend & I actually phoned the labour ward (which is the emergency out of hours number in my notes). I apologised for "panicking" but explained to them I just needed some advice as I wasn't sure what was happening and what I should be doing. They couldn't have been sweeter and just knowing who I should contact when really helped, so if you're worried give your emergency number a call. I'm sure they won't mind.

I'm definitely feeling better. The constant nausea has subsided although I've now started wretching when I bend over (which is nice) but I had a whole uninterrupted 8 hours sleep last night for the first time in 9 weeks and it felt amazing! Hoping for the same again tonight Grin

Hope you're all doing ok. xx.

Nice thread sultanajo I have hippo feet :( It had to take my footsie tights things off the other day, because they were digging in and leaving marks. I fear I will end up looking like a Hobbit!

I've got my fingers crossed for you fuls and mrsrapilot - bleeding is scary and I hope you get answers soon.

I'm 15+5 but still don't have a 16 week appointment or a 20 week scan date. In fact I haven't heard from my midwife since booking in over a month ago, even though I've tried to phone her and have sent her a text a couple of times. Getting a bit fed up with it. Also haven't heard either way about my 12 week combined test yet - toby, have you had anything from WHH yet? Can't tell the in-laws until I have the results, as DP's brother has Downs and we'd like to be able to reassure them a bit when we announce it. Also don't feel comfortable telling my dad and brothers until a bit further along.
