I feel awful. Just helped DH do a spot of late-night furniture moving! Not sensible but necessary. The previous owners' cat had scratched the wallpaper on the corner by the window next to DS's cot & DS recently discovered that he can pull the curtain back & pull large chunks of it off. I found a large chunk in his mouth the other day! We tried wedging the curtain harder against the wall but he managed to move it today so we've just rearranged half our bedroom! In theory it should be better for him now it's getting colder because the double glazing isn't great on the window & now he's near a toasty radiator. I'm getting cramping & pelvic pain now! Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Oh jojo get DH to get you a drink, and lie down with plenty of fluids. A good nights rest is what you need for cramps from over doing it, and hopefully you haven't strained a muscle or hurt your back. But at least ds can't get hold of any more wallpaper.

I'll just post in both places:

Mrs It's really common for some spotting at right around 8 weeks. This is the time that the placenta is starting to take over for hormone production and the corpus luteum is starting to reduce in size a bit, so there are some hormone fluctuations that can make you spot slightly. And yes, vigorous anything down there can lead to spotting too. The cervix is also very friable due to the extra blood vessels that are growing so sex or (pooing, I guess in your case) can lead to that as well.

Haha! Dh has been moaning lately...I just remind him to watch out for the end of the 3rd tri when I will be making him get that baby out. He shuts up quickly at the memory :)

Been working on midwifery homework tonight and have decided I just want to shut myself up in a lovely bubble during the pregnancy. I've been having to study on all of the horribleness that can happen. Thanks to classes like "complications in the prenatal period", "complications in the intrapartum", and "complications in the postnatal period", I now am a wreck thinking about all of the things that could go wrong! This is really bad timing .

Oh my god...after last night's brief trauma, little bean is attempting to reassure me by giving me the worst MS I've had so far.

Not kept ANY liquid down yet. My Weetabix stayed down though. Gonna have to drink more today as I've lost almost a litre of fluid already. :-/

This train journey could be fun.

Trumpets that is hard to digest! At least you're mega prepared. This is a silly example but my good friend did no reading up at all and blocked her ears for the whole pregnancy, she now says this left her with a very naive and traumatic labour experience. Hopefully your wise knowledge will make you wise and confident in time trying to think of the good point

trumpets What are the statistics for all these potential problems? I bet they're all quite low for a normal, healthy pregnancy which is what you're going to have. Go read some Ina May to reassure yourself!

I'm having beans on toast in bed while watching The Hoobs by myself! I can't help it, it's the only modern kids show that I approve of & I absolutely love it! I've got an appointment to have blood done this morning as the midwife couldn't get a drop out of me at my booking!

Bringon- yes that sounds like hard homework to take, I guises whenever we hear a bad story we are bound to think it could happen to us so every bad story can't be good!

Oh and Jojo I'm guilty of doing that sort of thing all the time, I was painting garage doors and house doors the day before labour last time but it more likely to do you harm then baby and even then it's more likely your body reminding you to take it easy!

I'm at my desk and managing to sip water now, thank god. Feeling a touch wonky, but never mind.

Hope you are feeling better, Jojo...can't say I've ever watched that programme. DH would know it though, I'm sure. He has god daughters and his knowledge of kids' TV amazes me sometimes.

Although I hate being sick, I do like the assurance of morning sickness. Daft, eh?

I've been drained of blood now. I asked if they do flu jab before 12 weeks & she went off to ask someone else who came in, got a needle out & said, "Well? Do you want it?" Saved me having a separate appt but I'm feeling like a pin cushion now!

Lovely new bus. Can't believe it's a 2nd trimester bus too. In a way it felt like forever but when you think about it, that's a 1/3 through the pregnancy. Eek.

Well, I'm not quite there yet as I'm still only 10 + 2 but you nearly!

Glad things settled down for you MrsBri. Sounds like it was nothing after all. I know what you mean by the symptoms like MS being reassuring. I only did one HPT. We were fairly sure it was going to be positive as I was very late so once we got a positive result that was it. I've just been toddling along assuming it was right but with no further verification at all! Still, after 10 weeks with no period (no spotting even) and lots of symptoms I know it's true but it's felt like a long time without confirmation!

Would it be ok to hop onto your bus? I've been shamefully lurking on the previous two, but was a bit nervous to join in. I didn't feel like it could possibly be real and also I felt bad because I didn't really have any symptoms to share, apart from some spectacular boobs (and you don't strike me as the sort of bus that's that into boobs!)

Anyway, I had my MW appointment yesterday and I think I'm about 11 weeks, so it's time to come out of the closet and get some company on the ride (mixing my metaphors there a bit)

I think I'm about 11 weeks, but have a very irregular cycle so it's hard to tell. I should have my scan later this week or early next and then I'll be a proper Pregnant... yay!

Talking of boobage, I'm now into the nursing bra I got when I had engorgement problems after DS was born & they're still feeling a little snug. I remember a time when I was rather pleased to be fitting into a B-cup... I'm now in Ds & v concerned that I might have to go even bigger even before June! Scary! I'm more than happy to be a little on the larger side but if they get much bigger I'm going to have problems fitting into some of my favourite clothes! I have numerous bras that I'm giving up any hope of fitting in to again, I just hope I don't permanently go up a size like I did last time! I wish I could tell 16 year old me that not only would I grow out of A cups but I'd be complaining about getting too big!

I'm 11 weeks too, hopefully your scan date will come through soon, I'm getting very impatient for mine, but have another 9 days to wait, but at least then I can start blabbing to everyone.

Omg lorelei I didn't think of it that way, 1/3 down and 2/3 left to go. I'm not quite there yet either, but I thought it would be nice to think positive and look towards the future. Can't wait to kiss goodbye to the ms and getting a bump. They start fluttering in the 2nd tri don't they?

jojo I perminanty went up to a double d after dd1, but after dd2 they have been slowly deflating back to a c. I am very pleased that they have gone back up. Although I don't think it bodes well that after buying new bras, they seem to be inflating again.

Panic over. Turns out that my top wisdom tooth was a bit pointy and has been digging into bottom gum and the wisdom tooth that has recently resurfaced. So, dentist was able to sand it down! No need to remove them for now TG!
