Thought I'd get the ball rolling as I know there have been some BFPs in the last few days on here.....

Just got a confirmatory BFP on a clear blue. This will be DC2, DC1 will be two in two weeks!

So grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the vino soft drinks on offer.

Ps is it really bad that I am craving a jug of Pimm's?!

Hello there!

Firstly, congratulations! I took my test last night after having a gut feeling this was the month so I'm due very early February too and desperately trying not to get too excited! This is my first post here, I'm not up to speed with all of the acronyms etc yet and as none of my friends have been pregnant I'm hoping the mumsnet community will help me out!

Hello and congrats to everyone!

First post and very excited - took a second test today to be sure and it was positive so puts my due date (I think...) at 3rd Feb :) This will be our second - DD is 13 months.

Pimm's would be very nice...

Hello! Was getting nervous all by myself! Still hasn't sunk in yet but am getting feeling tired already Sad

It's so hard not telling anyone! Really wanted to tell a friend today but resisted. Will be a long few weeks I think!

You've done better than me! Caved in this evening and told my running buddy - in my defense I did have to explain why I couldn't do sprints today...

Congrats all around!
I'll join in if I may
I found out at the weekend that I'm pregnant with a DC2. My due date apparently is the 2nd Feb :)

Hope many more will join us :o

OP - I could kill for a glass of wine right now! Can we at least pretend...?

Hi there! Congratulations! I got my BFP today after 16 months of trying (it's our first). Am really excited although trying be slightly cautious as I have spotting and have had a previous early MC. I should be due early Feb. just have to hope I hold on to this one. I too am going to find it really difficult not to tell people but trying to be restrained!

Hurrah! Am definitely not a billy no mates any more! At least I can discuss the pregnancy with someone now Grin

We'll have to get one of this lists thing going with everyone's EDDIE etc, after we have been for our booking on appointments obviously..... Booked mine today for the 12th June.

Anyone finding they have forgotten half the info from their last pregnancy?! New to swot up on my cheeses and prawns again...

You booked your appointement already? Wow, you are quick :o
Are you going to your GP at all? Or have you called the hospital directly to arrange your booking appointment?

Report
perfectshadeofgrey · 29/05/2012 21:52

And yes, I feel like I've forgotten everything! Although it feels a bit different this time round.

We have a midwife at our GP surgery, which is one of these new huge health centres with a dentist, pharmacy etc all in the same building... I remember from dc1 it took me eight weeks to get my booking in appt as they just didn't have any appts long enough, I was nearly eleven weeks when they saw me!

At leash we won't be suffering in the heat when we're huge. Every cloud and all that....

Hello everyone, I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling to keep quiet I'm terrified I'll accidentally tell someone! This will be our first baby, I rang my doctors this morning who transferred me to the midwife to make an appointment for 22nd of June when I'll be 8 weeks or so. In my excitement I forgot to ask what actually happens at this appointment, can anyone shed any light?! Perfectshadeofgrey - I'm with you on the wine, i had an orange juice out of a wine glass before to see if it helped!

Hi everyone, I'm a bit further along (18weeks) but was having a read as had nostalgic memories of all the excitement. What a great time. Anyway, I saw the comments about wine and thought I'd let you know that I found a drinkable dealcoholised (sp?) Wine. It's 0.5% and not too much like grape juice. It's torres naturea. I got it in Asda and there were other no alcohol wines but I didn't buy and taste them all!

Oh hello, a gang I can join!
I'm 5 weeks so due start of Feb too. Very excited but not telling anyone until early scan- have one booked for 8 weeks.
This will be our first (and probably only) DC, conceived on cycle 3. Had been psyching myself up that at 33 it could take a long time to catch.
I am an expert in AF beer already- Becks blue is by far the winner in taste tests so far. May have to investigate the wine in Asda too!

Hello Dexidoo and Tinker and Londonlivvy! I have calculated my due date as 6th Feb, but am sure it will change a few times before then! How are we all feeling? I have been waking up at 6am for the past few days for the past few days, so am very very tired. The sunshine helps with the good mood though.

I have some new work outfits that I am going to have to try and get my money's worth out of in the next few weeks. Had them too long to return now but they still have the tags on!

Ooh AF wine... Maybe I can fake drink that when we have a BBQ next :)

I had a tricky time on the tube this morning. I think the sickness is creeping in. Oh joy!

Hi guys,
I joined her when I was pregnant with my Ds1 he is now nearly 5, myself and my partner have been trying for a 2nd for sometime and on Friday we got BFP, I'm very nervous as I've had 2 miscarriages between my son and this pregnancy, just hoping and praying will be ok, I'm 4+1, just wanted to say hi to everyone, I've had some cramping can't remember if it's normal, I'm rather moody and impatient (my partner says that hasn't changed) lol, not sure if I should be experiencing more symptoms? Xx

I am feeling ok mainly but can't stop yawning past about 4pm, and rather bloated and windy too Blush. At least there is no vomiting (yet)
nadine I had mild crampy pains from about 3 1/2 weeks which prompted me to test as it felt different to usual period cramps. I still get them most days but not so noticable.
I have done my shopping and picked up some of the wine that londonlivvy recommended so will do a taste test tonight!

Hello all, can I join? I have to run off and collect dc from school, so will be back later to join in properly.
I am due 4th Feb and terrified of m/c after taking nearly a year to conceive and since last m/c, and a m/c before that too.
This is dc5, probably our last so really want to relax and enjoy the pregnancy, but finding it hard!
nadine I am cramping too - normal I think! It still makes me worry though!

I've felt quite sickly today, I'm not sure if it's the combination of being in a hot meeting room with sickly sweet pastries or a bit of morning sickness? Let us know how the alcohol free Wine is!

Hi everyone.

According to my calculations I'm 5 weeks tomorrow with baby #2. I think this gives me a due date of around the 2nd of Feb.

I'm going to a beer festival on saturday and struggling to see how I'm going to stop people guessing.

Also very windy and bloated! I can't remember how long it went on for last time but think it was a relatively short stage.
