Hope you all find this!

Interesting discussion at NCT class: apparently, more midwives are booked at full moon, as more babies are born then! We checked, and our full moon will be 17th May (my original due date, revised to 12th May). It will be really interesting to see how many are born early or late to coincide...

yey new thread!

not much to say here, did some studying this morning then went to town but forgot to put my support bandage on and came home in agony.
Have midwife in morning to see if BP gone down (not likely as done next to no bed rest!) and then have physio at 3pm. inbetween though i do get to have a lovely pub lunch with some very good friends!!!!

Sorted out my shed today and found carseats (2nd and 3rd stage), bouncer, stairgate, small stroller buggy and portable highchair from DD and also found my sisters gorgeous bouncy pram....its beautiful but i just dont have the need for it so am selling it with sisters permission (she didnt want it either!) lol
Plan to do a car boot sunday with my sister to help raise funds so we can book a hummer for my BIL 40th birthday in June to take us out on a wild night on the town!

What's going on with the stats page? Every time it updates I've been edited out! Sad Are people copying the most recent list? I'm posting from phone so can't really check properly.

Ohh new thread!

I love the title and thanks Loopy so much for the advise.
I really want to give it a go but only know one person who has done it, my MW said disappointingly we have the lowest rates in Wales where I live.

Has anyone BF after having a nipple piercing? I took it out about 2 years ago but have noticed I 'leak' more from the holes on the side?

DH bought me a new iPad so this is my first post from it!

I am up for the new stats as well x

cowboylover I saw something about nipple piercing and feeding on embarassing bodies. All I can remember is that it shouldn't be affected. But like you are experiencing you might leak more on that side.

I'd like a new stats thread too!

I had to have my belly button piercing removed when pregnant with DD. They say you shouldn't get tattoos on your back (epidural level). Can cause problems with having it done.

cowboylover...I have a nipple piercing...took it out when pg with DS and had no problems what so ever with leaking...put it back in afterwards and now took it out again!
I have a tattoo on my belly also but thankfully, even though I've got huge both times it's still perfectly shaped! A few wavy patterns through it but actually looks quite good lol.

Anybody else waking up really early? I'm bright eyed around 6:30 every morning waiting for DS to roll out of bed lol....I wouldn't mind so much but it means I'm falling asleep by 9pm!

Is anybody here planning a home birth?? I am hopefully having DD at home but wanted to ask people what I should be thinking about in preparation? Also, should I let my neighbors know? Don't want anybody thinking I'm being murdered! Lol

Hello all, sorry I've not been on for a while but things have not slowed down since the wedding in December as we're now renovating a house and move at the end of the month! Thanks Sesame for a new thread, have saved it and once mat leave starts I will be watching eagerly to see who gives birth first. Someone in my nct class has already had hers!

Not recommended if you have a quick second stage either I think? I was pushing for over 2 hrs with DS so think I will start the tea at 32 weeks. Not that it made much difference first time around ... Hmm

If I remember rightly - Holland & Barratt do a Raspberry Leaf Tea with Raspberry extract which tastes ok. I've heard people say the raspberry leaf tea on its own is vile.

seasamesmith Thanks for the new thread, i'm all for a new stats thread but have just added myself to the old one, copied and pasted the last post.
I've had a productive day ironing, baby clothes and bedding that i washed on a nice bright day last week, still have some more to do but its a bit showery today so hoping to dry it outside tomorrow. Have started sorting out drawers in the spare room that will be the nursery, hoping DH might start decorating soon. Have filled 3 drawers just with nappies and associated bits and bobs. This chest is the right size for the changing mat so will be used as a changing table until little one gets wriggly then she'll be changed on the floor. Can't believe how much stuff i've bought so far, DH wanted me to wait until DC arrives but i started buying after the 20 week scan, whilst i feel ok to shop and am still earning. Think i've covered almost everything we need to start with, undecided on a baby monitor though. If not he'll be getting a shopping list.
Who has packed their hospital bag(s). I've started one for baby, and a small wheeley case for me, but having not started antenatal classes (still no date) i'm not sure what to include, will ask the mw next week. Can't believe that we'll all be meeting our DC soon, good luck everyone. Smile
