Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

Hi 4MadBoys doesn't it fly by? 5! I'm barely coping with one - well done you!

Hello MissInvincible! Eeek! Congratulations! Sorry to hear that you mc too, how do you feel about this pregnancy? I felt like something wasn't right from the start of my last pg and couldn't bring myself to make plans or get excited. This time just feels different. I don't know, I could still mc and so my feelings might mean nothing. I don't feel anxious like I expected although I have been knicker-checking but we all do that, right?

Nice to meet you an looking forward to getting to know you Smile

Hello all!!

I wasn't going to join this as I am very scared but after reading Dirge's posts I decided I would. I had a MC at 6 weeks on Christmas Day and got a BFP this morning. Very very excited and scared but like you Dirge I do feel different about this one. Last time I kept saying "if it all goes well" but I never knew why I was thinking that. Who knows if it means anything but I assume joining an AN thread won't stop the inevitable, so here I am!!

Oh - I could have an 11/11/11 baby!! Which would be one day after DS's 3rd birthday.

Hello! Hello! More people! Yay!

Congratulations TerrysNo2 and Chipmonkey, welcome to the thread!

How are you both feeling? I have a twinge of nausea right now but that may be exagerated in my head because I'm pregnant.

TerrysNo2 I am so sorry you mc too and on Christmas day - that must have been especially hard.

Yes, thats exactly what I was like "if this works out", "if we get that far", "if the 12 week scan is ok". I told DH quite a few times that I had a feeling I would miscarry.

I like to think that I knew and because I feel differently this time it means everything will be fine but I am still keeping my fingers crossed.

Have to say, I feel fine. But then I am not officially 4 weeks till tomorrow. Over the past few days, I have felt hungry as hell, though. Usually around 5 weeks, I start feeling horribly sick. Looking back, on ds3, I think it was probably bad enough to be classed as hyperemesis, I lost loads of weight.

Hi girls

Can I join you? I found out I am pregnant on Sat (although I had my suspicions a few days before despite the BFNs I kept getting!). I think I am 4 weeks today and due on the 3/11/11 although my doctors appointment is not until tomorrow.

Feeling super excited but nervous as this is my first one. I keep getting cramps which have been a bit scary but people keep telling me its normal...hope so.

xx

Thanks chipmonkey that's reassuring. Its a bit weird - I have had them since ovulation and it is just like period cramps. I don't really get anything during the day except the odd twinge and then around 4.30pm I get them quite bad into the evening on and off. Hoping the doctor will reassure me tomorrow. I read dehydration can make it worse and I drunk loads yesterday from about lunchtime and it was a lot better...

Forgot to say I am 30 so...Grin

Hi Bumpwanted Congratulations! Check out all the 3/11/11 babies - some kind of full-moon-ovulation-spike this month do you think?

I was luck enough to be able to directly refer to the midwives and booked in over the phone yesterday. I have already discussed a homebirth which excited the midwife no end!

Yes, cramping and stretching feelings are all very normal so don't worry.

Chipmonkey I lost weight when I was pg with DD - I went down to 7.5 stone. After December though I am thinking I will embrace morning sickness this time, I didn't have it as badly in the pg I miscarried.

So, who have you told? Apart from us, obviously.

Thanks Dirge all reassuring! Phew! I actually have no idea if I can refer directly....this is all so new to me and I got pregnant on the first attempt so I thought I'd have more time to prepare!

What exactly am I supposed to be doing!? I have a doctors appointment, I have filled out a self referral form for Kingston Hospital (the only bit I do know is I'd like to have the baby in the MLU there) and I am taking a multivitamin with folic acid in it!

Have told my husband...and you guys, that's it! If I am still pregnant a week on Sunday I will tell my Mum as its her birthday.

Chipmonkey Doh re 4madboys Blush I am an awful skim reader! I think you are 4 weeks today - as I am 3+6. You gained a whole day now - and every day counts!!

Congrats bumpwanted I am also getting stretchy cramps in my lower abdomen which is nice - I was sure there was nothing left to stretch Grin!!

Dirge we have a scary amount in common for only a few hours on this thread! I am going for a homebirth too! Tried it with DS but the little monster went back to back so I was transferred in at the last minute.

I have told DH and the ladies on my charting thread but thats it, might tell my mum as she is visiting on Friday and I told her about my MC (but not when I was PG) My logic is that if you would tell them about a MC then tell them about PG. Still can't decide if I want to tell anyone else, although do want to shout it from the rooftops!!

*TerrysNo2" My dd was also back to back - although we considered homebirth we decided against because parents said they would turn up (seemed like they felt entitled to be there - DH's and mine). That was all a bit much so we opted for Midwifery care in a large CLU. Wish we'd just told parents to get lost and stayed at home to be honest but hindsight isn't that helpful now!

We haven't told anyone. I agree about your comment if you would tell people about the mc then you should tell them about pregnancy. I told more people I mc than I did that I was pg.

Having said that, I am just enjoying keeping it to myself at the moment. My family were not brilliant with the mc and DH's parents reacted horribly to the news that we were pg. I don't feel ready for all the fuss really or MIL calling every day to ask if I have lost the baby. She was mc-obsessed when I was pg with DD and it all gets a bit depressing really.

I want to stay in my happy bubble of baby-birth-pool-new-slings-daydreams Smile

I have told dh, you ladies and my ObGnn's secretary, whom I phoned today. When I was talking to her, it occurred to me that she probably thinks, I'm mad. 42, 4 boys, 4 Caesareans and here I am again! I have been booked in for a first visit, then probably a nuchal scan due to my advanced age.
