Hi everyone,
My name is Maria, I am a 37-year-old psychologist and a mum of a 2 year old. I have just started an infant observation course at the British Association of Psychotherapists. This course is about child development and is the prerequisite for the training in child psychotherapy, which I hope to begin in the near future.
The aim of the infant observation is to follow the gradual development of a newborn in their normal family setting. The observation will be unintrusive, quiet, non-judgmental as well as confidential and will last for one hour per week, at a time that?s convenient for you, for at least 1 year, ideally up to 2 years. The idea of me observing a baby is so I can better understand what we all go through at the very start of our journey as human beings.
Naturally, I will provide you with both an official confirmation letter from the British Association of Psychotherapists as well as a valid and current CRB check.
If you think you would be interested in sharing the unique experience of your newborn?s development with me, please get in touch for further information or to arrange a brief meeting. Ideally, I would prefer mothers who are due in the next couple of months (and up to December) and preferably in Central / North / North West London, although I can travel a bit further if needed. You can contact me through Mumsnet (send me a message and I'll get it in my MN inbox).
Kind regards, and thanks for taking the time to read this,
Maria
