thinking of you Marne...

I have my nuchal scan this morning at 9:20. Feeling really nervous. Usually I just worry about there being a heart-beat; I have never opted for this kind of testing before. Can't bear the thought of knowing that something is wrong for the next 28 weeks.

I will let you know how it all goes.

Hope you are all well.

Thank you Munz. I don't know when my due date is to be honest. I worked it out as 28th Feb, the 12 week scan said 26th Feb and my midwife gave me 3rd March! I was really puzzled until I realised she was being very kind to me - she's added a few days on so that if I go too overdue the officials won't get jittery about my homebirth, so beginning of March it is - that way I don't feel silly about staying on this thread either .

Good luck to all those with scans today or coming up soon.

hi,
Had scan this morning and the baby was fine, could even see its arms and legs!Bleeding was caused by a problem with my cervix (dont know how to spell it). Alo had to have anti D injection because of my blood group. So happy that my morning sickness doesnt seem as bad! I have a feeling its a boy (well i hope so) baby was realy active whilst i was having scan, so pleased to see him (it) moving.

munz, my due date is 21 march and i am 23 years young.

Thankyou all for your suport yestaday, i would of gone mad if it wasnt for you lot, thanks again!

Been feeling really good sll dasy do thought i'd walk up to the shops but as soon as i started i just had no energy whatsoever. By the time i got there i cold have laid on the pavement and gone to sleep! Had dodgy eyes in the supermarket - like the beginnings of a migraine and couldn't see properly - v scary!!

Almost cried when i saw it was ok, was so sure i had lost it. Looks like i will be in and out of hospital over the next 7 months as i have to go in evry time i bleed, they said i could bleed often and i will have to have anti D injections because of my blood group. At least there doesnt seem to be any risk to the baby.

That's fantastic news, Marne - I love good news!

I have a splitting headache today and I'm still feeling sick (grump). I've been feeling definate baby movements the last couple of days though - I guess third time round my stomache muscles are virtually non existant, lol.

Fantastic news, Marne!

I had my booking-in appointment on Tuesday. Things seem to be okay but the MW is concerned about my blood-pressure being so high already and thinks that the consultant may want me to take medication to keep it down. Eeek! My scan should be due sometime in the next 2 weeks but may be later because the sonographers are so busy atm.

I still feel incredibly sick but hope it will wear off soon. I'm 10 weeks pg. Hope everyone else is okay.

desperatehousewife · 25/08/2005 18:18

oh Marne - that's such fantastic news - I'm thrilled for you. Phewie! Relax and enjoy now!

Munz - my stats still say i'm 5 weeks preg - bloody hope i'm not with a big wobbly tummy like mine! I'm 34, due march 11th (but will prob have c-section which could make me end of Feb) This will be child #2.

YEAH Marne! I am so pleased for you. What a huge relief.

My scan went brilliantly as well. Baby was very active and they gave me a nice photo (side profile). The heart rate was 156 so my money is on a girl at this stage as DSs were never higher than 140. Time will tell though.

Glad you are all hanging in there. I am feeling really tired and sicky again this afternoon but that could be down to more worry than sleep last night.

Swiperfox: Take care of yourself. Sounds scary.

Coppertop: I had to take meds at the end of my pg with DS1 and he turned out fine. Any chance that you were just feeling really nervous today? Have you ever had high blood pressure before?

Good news about your scan, Cadmum.

I had high bp on and off during the last trimester with ds1. The growth scans were all fine though. With ds2 I had no problems at all. I actually felt very relaxed so it was a bit of a surprise to get a high reading tbh. The MW left it for a while and then tried again later. It was a little bit lower but still high. Hopefully it will settle when my 2 boys go back to school and pre-school.

Great news Cadmum. That's interesting about the heart rate. My bean's ( although more like half a banana now apparently! ) is consistantly 160, but I have no idea what my ds's or dd's were, so can't compare. Only time will tell I guess. ..

Who's finding out the sex at the 20 week scan? We will be definately.
