Oh, bugger, JAM, you did make me cry!

And for anyone else reading this, I've met Callum and he is an absolutely gorgeous baby (and it is his fault entirely that I am getting far, far too broody again!)

What a lovely post, thank you for sharing smile

Well I've not met you but it did make me cry too! You expressed it beautifully and it reminded me so much of my experiences. Hope you and Callum are well smile

what a beautiful story jam smile. It has brought back my elective and some of the thoughts going through my mind (not as eloquently as they were going through yours though grin) and I'm wiping away a tear or two.

What a fabulous birth story. How I wish I could have written mine like that. It'll be a precious keepsake for Callum one day.

What a great birth story- so eloquent.

It brings back memories of my elective c-section too. I went through all the emotions under the sun in the run-up to it but nothing prepared me for hearing my baby boy's first cry as I "felt" him being pulled out. It was so wonderful to hear, as his big sister wasn't breathing when she arrived, so her first cry was in another room (so I wasn't even sure it was her).
