Sorry if TMI but need to talk. I am 7 weeks pregnant but keep getiing tiny smudges of blood. To be honest its most days once. Mostlt pinkish stain, sometimes brown sometimes a red bit. Only when I wipe. M/C in November after 4 healthy preganancies. Any one experienced this with either outcome?
Thanks just theres no one to talk to

MAMA5 - I haven't personally experienced it, but have read so many accounts on MN of this happening and everything being just fine. Can you get a scan at your local EPU centre??

How many weeks were you when you mc'd in November? Sorry I'm not much help..... fingers crossed it's nothing too be concerned about.

Agree that you should get an early scan to put your mind at rest. But if it's any comfort, I have had 2 normal pregnancies and had the kind of bleeding you describe both times. I know it's horrible and worrying, and must be even worse for you given your mc, but chances are it really is nothing to worry about. Good luck xx.

I was 9 1/2 in november but that was blighted ovum ( missed m/c) I had to take a tablet to miscarry ( never again) No bleeding I just did not feel pg anymore so went to docs.

Going to EPU tomorrow and NOT relishing prospect!

Mama5 - I know what a worrying time this is. When I was 6.5 weeks pg I also started bleeding. There was quite a lot of blood, and then spotting but it went on for days. As soon as it started I went to my local A&E (it was a Saturday). They did some swabs to check for an infection and also sent me for a check at the EPC on the Monday morning. To cut a long story short, everything was fine and my DD2 is now 7 months old!! I hope it's the same for you, but please please please get it checked out, then you can relax, at least a bit!! Good Luck hun!

Hi Mama5,
Sorry you're having such a worrying time. My own experience illustrates that it might all be fine or that it might not, sadly. You should get to your EPU asap and just get checked out.
In my first pregnancy I had a small bleed and some spotting around 6/7 weeks. All was fine and my dd is 2.5. 3 weeks ago at 6 weeks into my 2nd pregnancy I had the same kind of thing and sadly, this time it was a m/c.
Don't want to unduly alarm you or to sound like the prophet of doom - there's a good chance all will be well. 25% of women bleed in pregnancy and about 80% of those go on to have a healthy baby. I just wanted to point out that each of us is different and our outcomes can be different, too.
Hope it's all ok for you and please do get checked out asap.

Thanks a lot lunachic, pandabear and spub.
I know its all a bit 50/50 at the moment but just cannot face prospect of another missed m/c or even a doubtful picture and told to return next week..........
Feel blue.....

Get yourself checked out at the early preg unit - I started bleeding/spotting at 10 weeks when pg with dd. It went on until 5.5 months - scary at the time but she is now 4.5 yrs and fine. Good luck.

Been thinking of you Mama5 - how did it go?

hi mama... i had spotting at 6 weeks which then turned into a big bleed.
went off to casualty and was taken to EPU where they did a scan which showed all was fine! couldn't find a reason for the bleeding and it stopped a day or so later.
i now have a gorgeous 4.5 month old baby!

Sooooo... think positive! a bleed doesn't necessarily mean a m/c!

hope it all went ok today anyway... let us know how you got on!
