No but read about it here which was quite interesting [http://www.amazon.co.uk/If-Spirit-Moves-You-After/dp/0330487868?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21]

Yes I did years ago and it was very accurate about past things they could not have known (and I didn't tell) and about future things which have since happened. Use a registered one though - presumably there are a lot of "cowboys" out there (or whatever the pejorative term for mediums is - averages??!!)

There have been so many tales about those mediums "fishing" for clues, using general statements and refining slowly as they judge your reaction etc etc that it would be easy to be cynical about all of them.

However, after being told about the death of someone very elderly in my family and given specifics - name, county, physical description (beyond little old lady!) and a statement so personal that I was stunned. How on earth could the medium find our that my great aunt used to take me to her piano and always keep a small packet of maltesers under the lid as an encouragement and "payment" for entertaining her?? That blew me away. I had not mentioned music, pianos, chocolate, aunts or names to her. Her name is a little unusual too so not like fishing for a "mary" or "elizabeth" type thing. I was and am totally convinced.

It didn?t really provide me with comfort though, I found it very distressing and unsettling. I left feeling very disturbed by the experience after a couple of very personal predictions. If you are considering going to see someone, do think about why you are going and what you hope to achieve, how you might feel if you do or don?t get the information or reassurance you desire.

My mum had and had the conversation recorded.

It was very odd, very accurate and my mum says nothing to influence her.

She even told my mum that I was pregnant (we already knew) but she said he was a boy! This was before our scan.

She even said that my dad had exactly the same name as his dad (he does) and told us his first name!
