Many thanks to ILike for passing on the baton to myself and Harry . I know we are a bit previous but I am worried I will get the timing wrong .

I feel like I have only been here a wee while but it is invaluable to me .

This is a poem that has helped me in the past .

I have not turned my back on you
So there is no need to cry.
I'm watching you from heaven
Just beyond the morning sky.

I've seen you almost fall apart
When you could barely stand.
I asked an angel to comfort you
And watched her take your hand.

She told me you are in more pain
Than I could ever be.
She wiped her eyes and swallowed hard
Then gave your hand to me.

Although you may not feel my touch
Or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you
While I wiped each tear you cried.

So please try not to ache for me
We'll meet again one day.
Beyond the dark and stormy sky
A rainbow lights the way.

Oh TW that is lovely I have not read that one before. Do you have a profile page TW as I was just being nosey to see if you had any pics and got the standard not got one or you're not allowed to look.

travellingwilbury Thu 26-Feb-09 15:50:48

I am glad you like it , I haven't got round to doing a profile yet , it is on my to do list but since Daniel picked off half my keys on the laptop doing anything is a bit tricky grin .

charleymouse Thu 26-Feb-09 16:06:45

Oh no I though you had stuck them back on. We used to think it was funny in the office to change a few of the keys round for some people. They would be typing one letter and on screen would appear another <<titter>>

<<hangs head in manner of naughty schoolchild>>

You should be here then because I can't get the bloody things back on blush

I have just had a nosey at yours and they are lovely . I love the one with the boys .

Great easter bonnets too , very cute grin

Ruth says uts one of her favourite songs so fingers crossed!!

shabster Fri 27-Feb-09 11:02:43

I think it will be just fine my love. If her words help just one bereaved parent it has worked. smile Beautiful song.

travellingwilbury Fri 27-Feb-09 11:04:05

Hello all x

My comp just froze , honestly I don't think it will ever recover from Daniels fiddling hmm

Deemented Fri 27-Feb-09 11:06:08

Well hellllo girls!

Things are seeming a little more positive today - i've found a therapist for boyo!!! She's a play/art therapist and have spoken in length to her about him, and she has agreed to see him. Just knowing that someone is going to give him a go is such a big relief. I have to pay for her privately (£35 an hour - gulp!) but if it works for him then so be it.

And can i just say that my wonderful boy is tru;y amazing. He found a photo of him and Ciaran together shortly after birth this morning, and came and sat on my knee and asked lots of questions.I told him that he and Ciaran had been together in mummys tummy, and he said that he liked it in mummys tummy - he'd given Ciaran lots if hugs and kisses because he wouldnt be able to give them to him when he was a big boy.

Sigh. I love my kids.

That is a gorgeous song Lottie. I think I will listen to the programme when I have finished work rather than in the car between visits otherwise I may well be a bit of a mess .

travellingwilbury Fri 27-Feb-09 11:10:25

What a lovely image Dee . I am so pleased he is going to be getting some help but still cross on your behalf you have had to find and fund it yourself .

shabster Fri 27-Feb-09 11:13:31

Yayyyyyy Dee - so glad you found someone. When I win the lottery on Saturday night I will send you the money to pay for it.

I know its expensive but so worth it. My DS1 used to talk about his twin like that....out of the mouth of babes I reckon smile

shabster Fri 27-Feb-09 11:14:16

TW tell me to stop being a nosey cow if you want but what job do you do?

travellingwilbury Fri 27-Feb-09 11:20:25

Not being a nosey cow at all . I work in home care .I love it , I get paid for wandering round peoples houses and talking with a little bit of work grin

shabster Fri 27-Feb-09 11:22:11

Ha Ha Ha that sounds like my job in my house except the pay is totally rubbish grin

travellingwilbury Fri 27-Feb-09 11:24:45

I do really like it and I used to work in accounting so it is a big difference for me but I have been doing it since we lost Harry and it has kept me sane. It is mostly with the elderly but we have also looked after some lovely children in the past .

lottiejenkins Fri 27-Feb-09 11:30:00

I used to do that job! I had one cantankerous old woman who was thoroughly unpleasent, also two lovely ladies who have both died in the last few years..sad

travellingwilbury Fri 27-Feb-09 11:32:21

I am lucky that on the whole all the people we visit are lovely. If people are v mean and grumpy we tend to double up and go together , less chance of taking things personally.

hazygirl Fri 27-Feb-09 14:38:31

dee so pleased that boyo is going to get the help he so needs, but sorry you have to fund it.
shabs ds went yesterday liver function normal now,but think he may be starting with stomach ulcer.
dr says health so much better so shows drink is causing problem.

shabster Fri 27-Feb-09 14:45:57

He has done so well Hazy. Think I would rather have a stomach ulcer than a liver that didn't work. So pleased that he has stuck to not drinking. I think it helped that you all knew so no secrets at all. I always say to my sons - 'If you have a problem, no matter how big you think it is, tell me - together we can sort anything out.'

Thelighthousekeeper Fri 27-Feb-09 16:30:22

Hi Girls,

TW the title of the thread is lovely, and that poem it moved me to tears. I'd not come across it before. x

frasersmummy Fri 27-Feb-09 19:40:26

that poem really is beautiful..moved me to tears

shabs I hate to admit this but I work in IT Support so if you want some help with your pc --dont look at me-- please just shout, I'm very good at saying "please reboot"
grin
