aww, that is very lovely - I think it's important to have crying at a funeral - very cathartic - we had lots of emotional readings at FILs the other week and we all bawled but felt so much better after letting it out !

I have heard that poem on the radio with music playing behind the reader. Have a feeling that it is the lady who played the leading role in Born Free in the 70's - but dont quote me on that!!

It is beautiful.

That is from a film, I can't remember what it's called - about a woman who worked for the secret service I think. Violet something?

It's lovely. I wish my deputy head had not read it out at assembly so often as it kind of spoilt it. Teenagers giggling throughout

violette szabo used that as her 'thing' to hold on to if she was captured and tortued-which she was.
