Bereavement

my poor daddy I feel so sad

my dad rang me to day to tell me my sm died this morning.
she had been ill for years, but it was still a shock
I feel so sad and it feels weird.
sm and I didn't have a mum/daughter relationship. my mum died when I was 18 and my dad married her a couple of years later. so I was too grown up to build a dd relationship.
but she had been part of my life for so long. I feel really upset. but suprised at how sad and upset I feel.
and oh my poor old dad. he will be feeling so sad. luckily sm oldest freind was staying with him(so they can greive together) and he has loads of good freinds who will be able to support him.
I wish I knew how I was supposed to ffel and act.
I had to tell ds that his nan had died
he might be 16 but he was upset.
dd was brill. she has cp and so I started to tell her how ill nan had been and she just looked at the ceiling(heaven).
sorry to go on. but bit mixed up.

I am so sorry for your loss 2shoes.

And sad for your poor daddy too. To have lost two wives must feel very cruel to him.

of course you are feeling sad and mixed up. it is a difficult time. but bereavement is never easy or straighforward. do what you feel is right for you, there is no right or wrong in grief.

oh 2shoes im so sorry.

I think what your feeling is shock. once this imitial numb feeling subsides you will get the emotional respionse you think you should get.

You may not have had a mother daughter bond but i am sure you had a bond of some strength.

i know these are a big faux pas on here but i just don't care (((hugs)))
