I had a ruptured ectopic and salpinectomy 5 weeks and 2 days ago (sorry to sound precise) and although i had a period type bleed up until a week post op i have had nothing since. If i counted the first day of heavy bleeding as CD1 i would be CD36. Af is still a no show How long was it before your first AF? I have had no symptoms, the only thing is i have noticed i'm more 'gassy'
Any help or advice would be great as i am going out of my mind

Hi Pepperpots,

I have had 2 ectopic pregnancies, one which didn't rupture and one which did. After my first ectopic my period returned after 28 days whereas after my second, I think it took about 6-7 weeks until my period returned. I believe it is normal for it to take around 10 weeks for your periods to return.
Hope this helps
x

Hi Lissie

I'm doing much better now, AF arrived 16/12 finally and seems everything is back to normal. Scar is a little sore now and again but apart from that i'm good. How about you?

im good thanks. do try to take things slowly, you've been through a lot. come and join cedar and i on the ttc afterep thread when you feel ready. when is your follow up?

I was never offered a follow up as I had a full salpinectomy (full tubal removal) there was no point . I am although in dispute with the hospital in which as i was treated so this doesn't bode well for them. I do although feel much better and I have healed extremley quickly so this is a good thing. I think i will be joining ttc after ectopic shortly, i wasn't sure if it was still going.

its still going, but most have graduated. they should have offered a follow up to discuss reduced fertility and any investigations into the quality of your remaining tube!
