............he was a drinker and a no hoper in some ways but how awful to die and no one to know for so long. His mum is next of kin and is on holiday until tues but has had to be told. dh feels bad as he is oop north now so not at the coal face. Generally I just feel for dh.

Sad that no one has anything to offer on mn which I have relied on quite heavily in the past. I will go and be with dh and come here again tomorrow.

Northender

This board moves like lightning these days, I am sorry you are upset but you left only 5 minutes between posting and berating. Unfrair IMO.

Sorry to hear about your dh's uncle. Hopefully he just fell asleep and knew nothing about it.

thanks fairyjay, he was always a waster but I don't think anyone expected this. dh is fine in that it was his only uncle (mum one brother, dad an only child). But he is concerned about his mum and he is away from home so can't be there to support her.

Yes sorry that was an over reaction. Just such a shock, not unexpected but still not what we were expecting

Was surprised at the speed it dropped down active convos. Underestimate mn at your peril! dh has just spoken to his mum so feels better now.
