Bumped into an old friend who lost a parent a couple of weeks ago. She is an old friend and completely lovely but we haven’t really kept in touch. She is a busy person and I bumped into her at her work. She has a partner and close family.

Would you think it more appropriate to go round with a card and flowers or to have some delivered?
Is it too intrustive to go round or would you prefer it? I don’t like visitors and don’t live with anyone so it’s hard to imagine what she’d prefer especially if grieving.

It's hard to anticipate how people would feel about visitors, and good of you to think of it.

Send her a letter, better than a card.
