should I expect any more clots to pass? (tmi sorry)

I had a scan on tuesday only to find the baby had stopped growing about a week ago. tuesday morning I passed the sac and had some clotting heavy bleeding etc weds had cramp and v heavy bleeding more cramping on thrus but did pass a v large clot(the placenta i'm assuming had the liver type look) bleeding then remained heavy (as thought it would) but tailed off a little last night. have this morning woken up and passed another smaller (but large enough for a 'plop' - tmi sorry) today. I thouhgt it was all finished with on thurs so this has set me back a bit

my last natural m/c at 5 weeks everything was pretty much finshed within 5 days, which was 2 days of intense cramps and v v heavy bleeding followed by just heavy bleeding. (first one at 7.5 weeks was done by op)

was doing quite a bit yesterday - althou DH would argue that fact! lol. any thoughts?

Im sorry about your loss

I missed carried at nine weeks and let it happen naturally, I had a week of light bleeding while the pg was under threat and two weeks of heavy bleeding while the mc was taking place, even though over the two weeks it did lighten up again. Take care x

i think its normal for a natural m/c for u to still be experiencing this....dont forget that every pregnancy is diferant so ur body will be responding differantly iyswim.im sos srry that ur having to go through this and i understand how ur feeling x

pips - this sounds very similar to what happened to me. I had clotting five days after the miscarriage, and my GP sent me for a scan. The scan showed everything was fine. In the those five days the bleeding stopped for a night and restarted again the next day.

Make sure you rest, take pain killers. If you think you have a high temperature or start feeling really ill, then go to your GP/hospital/EPU.

Can you organise an evening/day out - something for you to look forward to? This has helped me.

thanks girls, I just feel so crap again today after the positiveness of yesterday (thinking that no it would be plain sailing as i'd passed the worst and this happens). I keep thinking what have I done? why is nothing bloody simple. am I going to have a m/c everytime I want another child before I have a bean that sticks and is successful. SIL is also suffering early pg sysmptoms and I feel such a cow anne as tbh i'm totally not intrested, I fele like poking my fingers in my ears and screaming lalalalala everytime it's mentioned. I know everyone's carrying on as normal and the world won't stop turing etc and yes i'm being v v selfish and unreasonable but I feel worse for knowing it as well iycwim

Pips - life is just unfair isn't it? Not only the loss of a baby - however tiny - but the pain, the bleeding, the uncertainty, the worry for the future, hormones going up and down.

And of course everywhere you look there are pregnant women!

yes - all due around the time we were have to wait until the 20th as well to see my gp, and talk to her about blood work etc - my real worry is this is going to happen everytime I want a child. mum says well don't be a myrter (sp) to it - but I feel like saying you don't know what it's like. (thankfully)

was it 3 in a row fawks if you don't mind me asking? after my 2nd m/c I didn't really have time to think about things as DH and I were both working and kinda burried everything - but then again I fell wiht DS the very cycle after so in a sence althou I was so paranoid for the first 20 or so weeks everything worked out.

now i'm thinking and preying this isn't going to happen everytime. I fell like we're running out of time and keep having a horrid dream that I can't have any more children

thanks friz.

Pip, of course your going to have more children {{{{Hugs}}}} I know things seem pants now, but I know plenty of people who have miscarried more than once then gone onto have more healthy children.
Just fyi I have heard (and have known) people to go for acupuncture to aid in conception after misacarriage and plenty of people swear by it helping.

Pip - wishing you all the luck in the world hun. Glad you can come on here and talk when you need to, hope you are getting the support and answers you need.
Crap re the wait but glad your doc is looking at your bloods - in our area you have to wait until you have had 3 for them to do this.
I am sure you will have more babies you lovely girl, so sorry this one was not meant to be x

Jack - I shall be when I see her upon return from her hols - I mean how dare my dr go on holiday lol. but as this is now no 3 coupled with hormone probs from when I was a child I will be pushing for some sort of investigations. (althou in wales apparently my hormones were fine then? - so who knows)

friz - i've heard that as well - for the mo thou the problem doesn't seem to be getting pg it seems to be with keeping the beans alive and sticky.

am doing ok today - bleedin has more or less stopped (pretty much tbh) did a test today which was so faint it was bearly noticeable on my cheapo ultra sensitive ones so I guess that's that . went out yesterday for a play date with DS - was nice for him tbh to get out and see another child! lol. (human contact other than DH and I!) we're off out again today so I have no doubt he'll enjoy that - and we've got some OV tests etc so back in the sadle and off we go.

Hi Pip - unfortunately I am joining you on these threads - had some bad twinges and stopped feeling sick so went for an early scan today. Have had a missed miscarriage - looks like baby dies about 3/4 weeks ago. Just waiting to see now if things happen naturally or if I need to go down the medical route. Will be reading some of these threads for advice I am sure.
Anyway, wanted to see how you were getting on, still planning to see doc next week to try and get some answers?

Pip, so sorry you're going through this. I would just like to second the suggestion about acupuncture. I wasn't ovulating, due to low progesterone. After 3 months of acupuncture, I was ovulating normally.

My practitioner and her husband work together on couples who have been ttc without success. So far (said in a whisper, and with fingers crossed so I don't jinx it!), they have treated 10 couples and all 10 have had healthy babies. We were the first!

I hope you get some answers from your dr.

Bit wierd Pip tbh. Just feels odd that it is still all inside me.
I am waiting to see if nature takes it's course for now. Got an appointment on Sep 3rd to either check all gone, or if not, go down the medical/surgical route then.
Am trying to keep everything else as normal as poss, am away this weekend with work and next weekend with a couple of Aunties so hoping the time will go as fast as poss.
How are you feeling now?

pipsqueeke · 17/08/2007 11:50

I felt odd in retrospect if you will knowing that the bean had died a week before the bleeding started and everything came away.

we're doing ok thanks- had a bit of a bad day yesterday - was left alone all day and althou was nice and quite gave me time to think about things I didn't want to think about - and tbh everything's physically fine and back to normal but emotionally it will take some time - realised yesterday I keep busy and think of other things so I don't have to deal with it all.

have got a dr's apt booked for tues next week so will see what's said then - hopefully will ahve some actions.

I think the waiting part is the absolute worst. `hope you are (as much as poss) able to relax and everyhting happens natrually. tbh i'm glad in a way that I didn't have to make the choice, as everything seems to ahve settled down quickly again

hi pipsqueeke.....sorry i didnt get back to ur question earlier. i didnt have 3 consecutive miscarriages.I had 2 then dd, then another..then ds.You are going to have low days when u feel so sad, but this is normal....remember that ur grieving the loss uf your baby and it's going to take time to heal x and its pefectly normal to worry about future pregnancies....i was neurotic all the way through having dd and ds x

I was stressed with DS thou until 12 weeks then until 20 weeks. now this time I feel like i'll never be able to relax again - I want to get PG so much again really quickly. but I know that's prob not the best thing to happen . tbh I think i'd rather stick with one DS than have another m/c - does that make me selfish?
