Grave tribute

This seems the best place to ask for suggestions. My mum died nearly 5 years ago, her ashes are buried in a small plot along a wall at the local church grave yard. She has a lovely plaque on the wall and my dad keeps on top of the grass by putting seed down and getting rid of the moss etc. So it's very neat and tidy. We dont go ott with flowers and ornaments as despite it being 5 minutes away and us visiting regularly, we dont want to have to keep topping it up with fresh flowers. I usually put a wreath down at Christmas but I'm really not keen on artificial flowers and (in my opinion) tacky tributes but i've just visited to clear away her Mothers Day tulips and felt like I wanted to put something a bit more permanent there, I just don't know what. A small stained glass ornament or mosaic? I know there are hundreds of grave tributes with 'mum' etc on ebay but I dont like these.

I know what you mean about artificial flowers, but I had the same problem as you, in wanting a longer lasting memorial between 'occasions', and managed to find some quite tasteful meadow flower type arrangements, which my Mum would have appreciated, and which didn't look too artificial. You can also get ceramic flower arrangements, which are much more expensive, but look beautiful. A mosaic picture of flowers might be an option. Hope you find something suitable.

Great idea, thank you. Am browsing Etsy and can see some ceramic flowers on there so I may go with that idea!
