Yg, I don't know you at all, or your story. But I'm really sad to hear you're a widow and young, it's fear that often passes through my mind. How long have you been on your own?

Hi YG. Pleased that you have found a support network to help you through. It must be very difficult for you so I'm pleased that something positive has come about for you x

I mean it's 'a' fear that often passes through my mind. Losing my dp I mean. His health is very bad.

Hi Yorkie, I read an article about WAY in the YEP at my mums house (she lives in Leeds) last week. It featured two people who have since married - the woman lost her DH to a heart attack - is that the same person??

very pleased for you yorkiegirl, hope that you find it very helpful

Hopefully this will be the start of something new and life-enhancing YG.

Would it be dreadfully insensitive of me to ask if it was a heart attack that took your husband too? I was aware of your tragedy from the moment it was posted about on MN (and, like everyone else, I was so affected by it) but I did not know why it had happened. I hope this isn't a rude or insensitive thing to ask.

Hiya

My cousin lost her hubby to a sudden heart attack while he was at sea with the Navy two years ago. They think it was that undiagnosed heart condition that can cause sudden adult death. He was only 36 and left two children, both were under 10 when this happened. I will mention this to her as I'm sure she would be interested.

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to type this to help others and hope your pain eases with time.

Big hugs

Nikki

That's very sad, YG, how old was he? And you? My ex-h died of a heart attack aged 40, suddenly in the night. Such a shock. I hope you're coping ok.

I'm pleased to hear you've found a support network, at least everyone there will understand/appreciate what you're going through. When I read that article, I thought of you

I read that article in the Guardian and thought of you Yorkiegirl. It sounds like a great organisation - I hope it provides you with lots of fun opportunities

Thanks loads for that. I'll text cousin with e-mail addy as soon as I'm off the PC.

Was a massive shock for family - was only 10 days or so before Xmas and so she already had the Xmas presents from him for her and the kids that she had to open on Xmas day which was sooo hard for her to do. She's coped so well though and I have to say, the Navy have been sooo brilliant - counselling for the kids, chaplain providing spiritual support etc.

Thanks sooo much for posting that link for me.

Hi YG,

You probably remember me as CuffyJ1 (or huge pregnant one at the yorkshire christmas do 05 )

I didn't post on the other threads cos i just didn't know what to put (still don't really) I did read them all and you were so strong in what was such a tragic situation.

I'm pleased you have this support.

Look after yourself and your girls xx
