My Ex P has died unexpectedly

We were ex's for a reason I know .
But it is still 15 years of my life just gone - memories we shared just the two of us . It's hard not to re romanticise them however .

My H has been quite supportive but naturally is a bit brusque and can't understand why I am quite so sad , they didn't exactly get on !

i feel quite lost .

I can understand that , you are bound to feel sad/ regretful.. its always a loss when a friend ( ex or not ) dies I still think of ex-partners even those who didnt always treat me well, they are part of your life,. you have links with them you never forget..

I'm so sorry. It's the end of that part of your life, isn't it? It couldn't have all been bad and if he's the father of your children there's always a bit of a connection.

Imperial he's not the father of my son thankfully
We split as I wanted kids and he didn't .
He met my boy frequently though but he's too young to be sad .
Glad I don't have to manage young ones losing a parent just yet

You're not being selfish at all - this is part of your history, part of your life. And you loved him at one stage - you're bound to feel sad.
