Hi, I recently lost my father

I've been so saddened, as the dust settles, that only three or four of my (dearest, oldest) friends sent any sort of condolences.

I've always sent sympathy cards, even to acquaintances, really, when a close relative has died

anyway, it's really bothering me now. I just can't think of a large number of people as friends any more, I don't think. it just seems so important, those few words on a card are such an amazing comfort, aren't they?

any exp? thanks

Sorry for you loss flowers

IME it tends to be more religious people who send them, have the showed concern in other ways? It's a rubbish excuse but some people don't know what to say?
