DH's oldest friend died yesterday

He was 34 and had been battling MS for 15 years. It's so unfair. Diagnosed at 19, he was robbed of adulthood (it was the type of MS that progresses rapidly and without remittance). A last bout of pneumonia was too much and he passed away yesterday.

DH very quiet. He is on leave in any case so is going to see his f riend's mum today. How do I help him?
