Lost my wonderful Mum 4 months ago. DS (18) really wanted some us time. I'm on holiday atm so decided we would have a day out in central London yesterday. Had a really good time, but then I got robbed! Someone took my purse out of my bag and had obviously watched me use my card. My account is now £500 pound lighter! Someone really must be looking down on me and thinking 'no, Losing your Mum isn't enough, have some more shit to deal with'!
Have cancelled all cards and notified the police, but doubt that will get me anywhere! :(

That is so rotten. All I can say is....fortitude in the face of adversity. Very sorry for your loss. I know just how you feel.

Ah OP I'm sorry- that's utterly pants.

Is it worth seeing whether your home insurance might cover at all? My DH is always wittering on telling me what surprising things ours covers..

I suggest you look out for one more small crapola thing that happens.. Slightly burnt toast/ tea goes cool too quickly.. So you can satisfy yourself you've had your 3 things and life will move on in a far better way!

Sorry about your DM. X

Thank you for your kind words. We've actually lost 4 people in less than a year, but losing my Mum has been the hardest to deal with. DH is away until tomorrow but he's been calling me and trying to keep me going.
Just feeling a bit shit today :( x
