I tragically lost my baby in march at 17 weeks and found out at 19weeks . I had to give birth and we had a funeral . I had to choose a poem but couldn't find one that related to us. I wrote this one below that I would like to share with you all . We had the following songs played : Somewhere over the rainbow by Eva Cassidy , Brahms lullaby by Jewel and Twinkle twinkle little star by Jewel .
Alfie you grew for 17weeks
Inside mummy's tummy you wriggled and kicked
We imagined all the the things with you we would do
We couldn't wait until August to meet you
But In march your tiny heart stopped beating
Which brought forward the time we would be meeting
When you were born the midwife said "its a boy !"
Even though you were so tiny you were our bundle of joy
You were so small you were cradled in mummy and daddy's hand
Mummy and daddy are the proudest parents in the land
Now your with the angels above
Your In our hearts and you will always be loved
When We look up to the sky at night
Your the Star that shines so bright
