I'm 34, my darling dad died from heart failure in December, his funeral was last Tuesday, now my dear nan (91) has been taken in hospital. I know she's old but I don't think I can cope with all these changes :( it's awful growing up, I just want to cry when I speak to my dear mum, I don't know how much she can cope with....

Oh you poor thing, what a difficult time you're having.

Can you just go and be with your mum for a bit? If not, hope you have some good people around you.

Yep, growing up is shit.

Hey phoenix, so sorry to hear about your dad, and about you nan being poorly. I don't have any words of wisdom, but I would like to give you a big hug and let you know that time heals all wounds. Your life will never be the same without your dad, but I'm guessing your mum needs all the support she can get, and that means you need to be strong for her. Even if you have to have a cryfest, that's probably better for her and for you to just let the sorrow flow. This will help her and you to cope with the additional stress of your nans illness and whatever else may come along

Thanks for the replies, it's been 4 weeks since dad died but I feel like everyone thinks I should be over it by now. I only seem to have bad news all the time. I have a wonderful dh and great dchildren which keep me v busy but I'm still grieving for my dad and coming to terms with loosing him and now my darling mum is back at the hospital to visit my nan and arranging her care. His funeral was last week. I still feel numb and haven't dealt with his death yet. I feel like my past is slipping away, my grandad only died 17 months ago. I seem to see my aunts, uncles and cousins and at funerals. I fed up of this year already :(
