I just wondered if anyone has heard of this National Charity which offers one week breaks in holiday cottages in Cornwall to families who have been bereaved. I am a hospice nurse and I have referred someone here, and heard positive reports from others who stayed here. You can refer yourself or be nominated by someone else.
I will try to post a link here ((www.sandrose.org.uk))

Me! I heard about it on here though. My gp knew about them but hadn't thought to refer. He was happy to refer us once given a nudge, and we're going soon.

Our break there will coincide with our younger dd going past the age at which her sister died. It feels really good to know that we will be away somewhere quiet then, with time for just us. It feels like it will be some time to spend with dd1 in a way.

I had been thinking if it all worked out well that it would be good to see them mentioned here more.

I was there in July and it was a lovely space and place to be. Our family definitely benefitted.
