Hi what did you do today? we went to the beach and the kids (whom you never met) built sandcastles and it was a bit windy but we wrapped up and if your free next week shall we have a run over there as there was a little shop on the street that you would love Sad

Oh sweetheart, I get these feelings everyday when all I want to do is talk to my Mum, she died 2 years ago and I still just miss the catch up chats at the end of the day, let alone the hugs and the banter.

I bet your parents would have loved to have met their grandchildren. Smile

I want to ask my Dad about the best way to prune roses. He knew everything there was to know about gardening. But instead I ask him to take good care of dd, my own little rose who died last October.

I would love my dad to watch my boys play football for their respective teams. He would have been so proud, especially my youngest who plays in goal (my dad was a goalkeeper for his local team) I can just hear him shouting instructions from the sidelines!

My dd has a magic phone and the only people who ring are her granpa who died before she was born and my mum who died in November.

We were driving home from mil's yesterday which always makes me acutely aware how much u miss my mum and dd suddenly says "i miss granny, but she's in my head", picked up the magic phone, passed it to me and told me to talk to granny. I was too busy trying not to cry to be able to say anything but it happens often enough that I do get to pick the phone up and say "hi mum!"

Dad, wish you were still here, you have missed so much over the last 18 years. You couldn't walk me down the aisle, you haven't met your grandchildren. I hope you are watching over us and we will meet again one day.
Thinking of you always x
