My beautiful sister is at the final stage of this horrid disease. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 3 years ago. It spread to her liver and bowel. She had a full hysterectomy and chemo but now the doctor says there's nothing more they can do.
She hasn't eaten for days. She has tubes coming out of her all over the place. She's so thin but her stomach is like a ball.
My parents think we'll still have her at Christmas, but I think we're looking at weeks here, at the most.
Today she was given a sedative and seemed very calm, happy even, and chatty. She talked about when she gets out we'll all go to this particular restaurant etc etc. The doctor said she won't be going home.
I don't really know why I'm posting this.
It's not looking good is it.
