what to write in death announcement?

My dear Dad died on Monday - a blessed relief from a long and horrible illness.

I am trying to write the announcement for the local paper but have hit a wall. I want to say that he died peacefully but the next line should be something like "At peace now" or some acknowledgement that the suffering is over and he is in a better place but I can't think what would be right and "at peace" sounds wrong after the "peacefully"
We are a Christian family so references to Jesus, Heaven etc would be appropriate.
I would really appreciate some ideas please so if any of you have some you could share, I'd be really grateful

I always like 'called home' e.g. 'called home after a long illness bravely borne'

Some find it old fashioned but that's what I want on mine.

Sorry for your loss.

Finally at peace after a long battle, bravely fought. He passed gently to take his place in Heaven.....

So sorry sad!

thank you.
He had dementia so it wsn't really "bravely borne" or fought sad
I like the "Called home" idea.....

I think 'At Rest' is rather beautiful- it follows on nicely and is simple but full of meaning

You could just say that he passed peacefully. I know this is a really hard time for you but those that knew him will "know" and understand, and those that didn't won't care much anyway. Don't overthink it - keep it simple. (I fully understand that you want to send him off appropriately)

"My beloved dad xxxx passed peacefully on xxxx after a long illness. He is safe now with Jesus and no longer suffering,"

thanks all - we went with "at rest in God's hands"

That's lovely! Still sorry for your loss. I guess with dementia, you lost the "person" some time ago. It must have been hard going for you all!
