At what age can you use a doorway bouncer?

Is it when they can sit up? Looked in argos but it doesnt say.

I pit DS in one when he was about 8 weeks old, he didn't like though until he was nearly 4 months old.

Yes the packaging will be cautious - probably says six months or something - but when they can hold their head up. I put mine in from about 12 weeks and she LOVED it.

Like Kid, I found that there was a difference between when my DS COULD go into it, and when he LIKED going into it. Can't remember exactly, but I think it was around 3 or 4 months when he started liking it.

So if they can support their heads, and if they like it, then you can put them in it.

DD1 is 20 weeks. I tried her in the door bouncer for the first time at 18 weeks and she seemed to like it, tho she couldd't get the hang of bouncing herself. Tried again yesterday tho and she loved it, pushing up with her feet and gurgling away. Had to be careful with DS1 around her tho, since it could be a bit like bungee jumping if he got his hands on her!

DS was 3 months when first used it - liked being in it but couldn't bounce it. Now at 6 months hes like a blimming yoyo in it!

My DS also took a while to get the hang of actually bouncing rather than just hanging there!

ds1 only ever hung in it. I've got a feeling ds2 is going to be a real bouncer. I hadn't realised you could put them in this early (he's 3 months on Monday), so I'll give it a go today. I reckon he'll love it.

You can use them when your little one can fully support thier own head i.e no wobbly heads, they don't need to be supporting themselves sitting either, as some babies are better than others on thier tippee toes rather than sitting. Both mine were around 4/5 months. Ds was better in it than Dd.

Mine was 3 months cos that was what the tippitoes website said. he was just a bit stunned to begin wiht but loved it so much after a few goes. I wish they made them for 2 year olds
