Please help 'poo'ing'

I have been trying to potty train my 2.5 year old on and off over the last few weeks. She is good with her wee's and will use the potty. Loads of accidents but has the idea.

The trouble is she has no idea when she is poo'ing and will poo anywhere anytime.

Just had a major poo incident, she had no nappy on and has poo'd absolutely everywhere, in her hair, all over the carpet, on the stairs. It stinks!!!

I just can't have her with no nappy on as it took almost an hour to clean her and the house up.

Does this mean 'she's not ready yet' and should I leave it awhile.

Would you be worried?

Thanks,

Matilda

Don't worry. She hasn't yet got mastery of her sphincter muscles from the sounds of things. So put her back in a nappy and wait until she has!

What does that mean?

I'm having the same problem with my DS. I've had three halfhearted attempts and have give it for the same reason. Back in a nappy and try again in a month or so. It's not worth it!!!

Yes I'm doing the same. Sometimes she will ask for a wee while she has the nappy on so will take it off and let her wee on the potty then straight back on again!!

Oh the mess when she poo's!

No definately not worth it, think she'll be nearer three when she's ready

My youngest is 2.5 and he seems to poo about 4 times a day still so I am waiting till he is 3 and he hopefully goes less!!! He has no interest anyway and just uses the potty as a water play toy!!

Good luck, I am not a keen potty trainer and probably a bit lazy but the stress of being out and having to keep asking 20 times a day if they need the toilet doesn't fill me with joy!!
