First one today came about for not allowing my DD1 to dip her cheerios into marmite!

Hangingbellyofbabylon Tue 25-Aug-09 16:33:15

We had one this morning lasting around 10 mins because... the butter had melted on her marmite toast and she wanted 'visable' butter.. hmm

Daughter, 9 "because you looked at me in a funny way". hmm

We had an odd moment today - not really a tantrum but she insisted on sitting on the pavement and 'being stroppy' (her words) because cars were going up "our" hill!

We had to wait whilst she sat down and watched the cars going up and down the hill. Coming down was fine - apparently hmm but up was seriously bothering her!

And we had another one recently when the workmen finished digging up the pavement outside our house and left "without saying goodbye".

I cut her fishcake up wrong.

I very unreasonably wouldn't let 22 month old dd drive into town. Also cause for concern was the fact that the packet of crackers she had thrown on the floor contained broken ones...

good to know that it's not just mine displaying these loony qualities! dd1 never had tantrums and dd has SN so I never know what is 'normal' and what is due to her SN.

BrigitBigKnickers Tue 25-Aug-09 16:55:07

I dared to "eat" the imaginary biscuit DD had offered me during a tea party game.

I couldn't make it rain on command this morning so 3 year old ds could use his new Ben 10 'brella'.

Felt very inadequate.

I wouldn't let DD3 have "both biscuits" and gave her the choice of one or none. She chose none and stropped for hours.

Great idea - but we only have a bath!

BubbaAndBump Tue 25-Aug-09 22:45:43

pml at these messages - some of you are really horrible mummies! The bad fishcake cutting, the bringing water out first, eating imaginary biscuits and not being able to make it rain.

I don't know, the poor children of today!

This morning's best one (so far) - I wouldn't help her put four raincoats on (I thought three would be sufficient to boil her to excess and stop the rain which I ordered)

DD's yorkshire pudding was "broken" aka it had a dip in it. Wouldn't have cared too much apart from the fact they were the best yorkshires I had EVER cooked.

Hi all! I need help - I need to observe infant from birth up to 2 years old for 1 hour a week. Anyone interested?!See Wanted ad.

Funniest was when the clocks went back a couple of years ago. DD went to bed at 7.30 and I changed her clock so it would be right in the morning. She then had a paddy because she thought I was putting her to bed an hour early at 6.30!

DD2 age (nearly) 3 went into meltdown when I wouldn't let her wear leggings like her sister the other day. I tried to rationally explain that she doesn't have any, which brought forth more drama and demands to "go to town NOW and buy some"

My DS (1.5) had a major tantrum this morning because I wouldn't let him continue playing with his willy and put his jeans on so we could leave for nursery. We were late....

Tee2072 Thu 27-Aug-09 07:25:08

These are hysterical

petnik Thu 27-Aug-09 07:29:44

Major meltdown from my DD age 3 because I asked her to put some clothes on so we could o out. She just wants to be naked all the time hmm Lasted about half an hour. WTF

deaddei Thu 27-Aug-09 07:35:56

Taking 6 hours to put together a wardrobe...(my dh yesterday). It was like having a 3 year old upstairs, but with swearing.

AmazingBouncingFerret Thu 27-Aug-09 07:40:54

Just this morning, my DS had the mother of all strops because Pippin the dog from Come Outside wasnt guest starring in an episode of Peppa Pig.
Guess whose fault that was...
