DS - 21 months - still has a bottle 3 times a day. Whenever I have tried to change to a cup he plays merry hell, especially if he has just woken up. Any tips on changing to a cup?

I had this with my DS but at two years. Explained to him about being a big boy and said he could throw his bottles into our wheely bin (which he loves) smile and choose whatever cup he wanted - he chose a farm cup from his fav. farm shop!

V v proud of himself. Good luck, but once they are in the bin he knows their is no going back.

Could try idea of bottle fairy who comes to take the bottle when child is asleep, leaving small gift. Explain to him that fairy has to take bottle to the new babies that need them. Worked for my 2 DS's as they know it can't come back.

When my DSs were about just 2 their bottles broke and started leaking. I refused to buy any more...DS1 refused to have milk ever again. DS2 drinks it occasionally. Both happy to drink water etc from all manner of receptacles - but we certainly had a bit of a battle!

Good luck!
