over active toddler?

my 2 n half yr old ds1 gets excercised all day no naps and still has trouble going to bed even with his bed time routine, last night it took me 1 an half hrs to get him to sleep. its driving me mad. i have a 1 yr old ds2 as well. any advice on using up his boundless energy. hes 3 years ahead on language and understading by the way. and very loving to his brothger but very cofrontational.

He "gets exercised all day!" - sounds like a dog

How and what is he doing? Physical and mental exercise? Loads of fresh air?

Is his bedtime routine very calm?

Does he see TV or a DVD right before bed?

Do you read to him?

Forgive list of questions but hard to answer without more info.
