Yes yes I know I normally hate these boasting threads...

He's 3. Had no help or inspiration whatsoever.

What do you think?

FlappyTheBat Tue 21-Jul-09 09:10:43

would maybe help if I could see your profile grin

FlappyTheBat Tue 21-Jul-09 09:12:10

Future bridge designer?

brimfull Tue 21-Jul-09 09:17:44

melmog Tue 21-Jul-09 09:18:46

Not sure genius is the right word. Good at building bridges perhaps?? smile

Picante Tue 21-Jul-09 09:19:40

Well there's good money in engineering so that's fine by me! wink

melmog Tue 21-Jul-09 10:02:44

I'm hoping there's good money in splodging paint in a haphazard manner on my dining table. Modern art methinks.

HeadFairy Tue 21-Jul-09 10:03:56

He's going to be an architect!

BernardsCat Tue 21-Jul-09 10:05:09

no fgs
he has put a few duplo bricks on top of each other

Pennies Tue 21-Jul-09 10:05:45

He certainly has en eye for symmetry.

muddleduck Tue 21-Jul-09 10:16:32

I'm with BC - can't see what the fuss is about.
or perhaps this means my boys are both super-advanced-geniuses

caykon Tue 21-Jul-09 10:29:11

My 2 did very similar things from about 2.5 onwards, so think its just normal development. It is nice to see them start to make more recognisable things.

SoupDragon Tue 21-Jul-09 10:31:51

Er... no, he's not a genius.

Lifeinagoldfishbowl Tue 21-Jul-09 10:33:17

TBH if you go into any nursery the 2 year old room upto pre-school will have things like this made by the children, where they just add the bricks together to make it look pretty.

cheesesarnie Tue 21-Jul-09 10:37:10

tell him hes very clever.maybe not a genius yet but getting there grin

hippipotamiHasLost49lbs Tue 21-Jul-09 10:40:40

Please tell me this is not a serious thread??

If you are deadly serious, then, errr, no, he is not a genius.
Nice bridges, but by no means outstanding or exceptional.

sweetfall Tue 21-Jul-09 10:41:53

You know this is what bricks are for don't you? This is such a funny thread because people are taking you seriously when you're obviously having a laugh wink grin

um - you are having a laugh aren't you?

BikeRunSki Tue 21-Jul-09 10:47:38

I'm a civil engineer. Don't get exited, there's not that much money in it!

cheesesarnie Tue 21-Jul-09 10:48:14

sweetfall grin

Supercherry Tue 21-Jul-09 10:49:50

If this is a serious thread, I think they're good bridges, very symmetrical. Genius? Not sure about that as I don't have enough experience of this age group to know if this is out of the ordinary or not.

morningsun Tue 21-Jul-09 10:50:55

aww I think they're brilliant
and he looks so cute and happy

Picante Tue 21-Jul-09 11:32:13

Oh fgs of course the title was tongue in cheek!

I'm still privately impressed... smile

exrebel Tue 21-Jul-09 11:43:57

I am impressed too Picante, very symmetrical, creative and very well stacked! I knew you were saying tongue in cheek. Can't believe some were quite keen to put you right about the genius delusion.
