missed this totally first time sorry rickman (wasn't ignoring you honestly I wasn't )

no he's calmed down totally on the cuddle front - what I think worked was the reverse psychology bit someone suggested - I used to grab him and say 'I want a cuddle' frequently during the day, and squeeze him, I'd also pull him onto my knee a lot .. he soon started to push me away

Jools - he now has a bigger and better bag - can fit far more crap in it

oh I remember that claustrophobia, completely followed by guilt

try the getting in there first - it took a week or so, but he's back to affection on a manageable scale
