Little sh*t for a daughter today....

Is it an age thing? Does conjunctivitis make kids feel really rough??

DD is 22 months, and has been really clingy for the past few days. Her eye all gunked up yesterday and she's got lovely ointment now.

I am babysitting Psychomum's DS2 as well today, and where they are normally lovely together, my "angel" is being a complete cow!!

She often has tantrums anyway (which we are used to dealing with), and there is the normal battle of wills over who gets the toys, but today she has screamed if he has touched anything she has been remotely considering playing with, she smacked him in the face when he told her off for changing channels (and then again as I told her off and tried to drag her to the naughty stair). If he has tried to touch me, ask me something, or just generally have any contact with me she has gone all possessive and pushed him away from me.

Is this normal toddlerhood that will be here for months, illness related, or did I just breed the spawn of satan???

My dd started screaming sobbing tantrums at exactly the same age when she had an ear infection and spotty virus on top, 2-3 months ago. It was hell. But since then she has mostly been her nice old self again, although 'I want to do it!' has recently become her favourite phrase and the tantrum zones are getting her dressed/undressed.

She's decided its a bright idea to go back to potty training today too

The joys of mummyhood... and I'm broody???
