They must have mixed her up in the maternity ward.

She spent an hour this morning choosing which pants she wanted to wear, they had to match her jumper for heavens sake. Then she spent another half an hour holding up every single pair of tights she owns to see if they coordinated nicely with the rest of her outfit. It seems to be hugely important to her that she completely coordinates - she is just four!! She then packed her little "handbag" with a brush, a pretend lipstick and her pretend mobile to take to her grandparents house.

Her twin sister will happily pull on a muddy holey pair of jeans and has hardly ever looked in a mirror. She chose a football to take to her grandparents. I can relate to this soooo much more than my girly girl! I just look at her and think where did you come from

It's just so important to coordinate I have a 4 yo who has to wear skirts all the time and then proceeds to climb everything and ends up with laddered tights. Perhaps your daughter could advise her of ladylike etiquette

Aah Pinotmum, yours sounds just like mine. All in pink, always a skirt but scuffling round on her knees in the garden and climbing and jumping on all the furniture.
Recently she's taken to wearing a skirt with knee socks - looks like a mini japanese tourist.
