Baby making himself sick

Hello, our 10 month old ds has started to put his hand right to the back of his throat and makes himself gag. Three times today he made himself sick by doing this. I think I might be making it worse by reacting to it. Is this a phase and should I just ignore it and maybe he'll stop as he won't be getting the attention?

My DD does this too and I am constantly removing her fist from her mouth. No advice, but hope it stops soon, probably just a phase.

How old is your dd? And how long has this "phase" been going on for her?

DD is almost 12 months, but she has done this on and off for the best part of 6 months. She only makes herself sick occasionally, but I am on her immediately if I hear the remotest sound like her fist is in her mouth. I know this sounds harsh and I know it is part of normal development/ teething, but she hardly eats or drinks a thing and I worry that she will bring up what she has eaten. She has dropped off the centile charts! Hope it ends soon for you and I sympathise.

Glad we're not alone, although ds does eat well. Hope both our dcs move on from this soon!
