Bleeding nose when he cries

Is this normal? When my DS (21 months) is quite upset and crying a lot, a little trickle of blood from his nose mixes in with all the snot and makes it bloody. Not a lot of blood, just enough to make pink snot. He doesn't have nosebleeds any other time, just when he's REALLY upset (about once a week). Most crying situations (several times a day) and he's fine. Should I be worried? Thanks.

Sounds like a tiny weak vessel, speak to your GP/HV when you see them next. Nose bleeds usually occur when the BP goes up as you say 'normal' crying doesn't trigger it only extreme upset.

Thankyou MatNanPlus. I'll mention it to HV next time we're there.
