Snugglesac or Grobag first duvet set???

DS1 is 2.10 and still in a grobag although fast running out of room (in a 18-36 month one). He moves all over in his slepp and the few times I have tried him with a normal duvet he has ended up freezing cold and waking up in the night. Have looked at both these products and wondered if ayone was currently using them and could give me any pros and cons. TIA

link please - my DD is three and she has grown out of her grobags, still in a cot, but that is due to change this weekend when she goes to her new bed. We have bought duvet etc as she will be in adult single bed with a bed guard. What these amazing products you speak of. My DD was in the bag until she was three though

My DD kicks the covers off, hates being covered up, i rather wish i didnt use grobags in the first place, for this reason.

I have the Grobag one - it's been wonderful. Great quality cotton, nice design and it works really well. It's a nightmare to get on the bed the first time or two but you get used to it.

I like these So did DP until i told him how much they were especially as we have already paid out for a duvet set from ikea

hi chipmunks.... could you use the grobag duvet on a cot bed with the sides still on - DS moves all over in his sleep still so we are reluctant to move him to a bed yet.

There is a cot bed size - re keeping the sides on, I guess so yes. Would be hard to get it on the mattress though but I'm sure there'd be ways around it. If it is just for that reason, would duvet clips work?

These would be perfect for DS who is 21 months and rolls all over the place, hes still in a grobag but its getting a bit cosy in there for him quite like the idea of the snuggle sac has anybody got one of these??

OMG was just looking at this didnt know that it was just a duvet and pillow cover I thought it had integrated quilt! A bit expensive for that me thinks would be cheaper bloody sewing it together myself

I reckon you could do it yourself. The zips are useful though but I'm sure you could add those too if you are good at sewing.

It is expensive I agree. It its defence it is very good quality cotton.

We only got one and have a normal duvet as a spare and I wouldn't bother with the Grobag branded duvet as any will do inside - the facility to clip it to the duvet cover doesn't add anything imho.

Here's a link for 3-6 year grobags too. I've used this company for other stuff and they were fine. We might well end up going for a bag again I reckon.

oooh thanks sparkle - didn't think you get grobags past 3 years. TBH I am swaying towards a snuggle sac but will keep this in mind - useful to know.

i used the snugglesacs for the DDs when they first moved to big beds. they are brilliant. we use them all the time when we go to friends' houses for dinner/sleepovers. They snuggle up on the sofa and watch a film when it gets past bedtime
we have these fleece which are super cosy. I didn't go for the smaller toddler size and these seem fine. DD1 is 4 and DD2 just 3 (have had them for a year).

thanks imaidawish - did you just put your dd in the snugglesac with pyjamas on - did you not need any extra bedding??? Did you find you could use them all year round without any extra bedding in the winter or were they too hot in the summer??

yes just in pjs
bit hot in the summer, i used them in winter when first moved to a bed, then i moved to a normal duvet.

now we just use them for sleepovers/snuggling on the sofa at friends houses.
