How forgetful is your dc? And are boys more forgetful than girls?

ds would forget his head if it wasn't attached. I had a clear out of his school bag today and there were 2 birthday invitations he was given for parties last week. When I asked him he just said, "oops, I forgot".

He is like this ALL the time.

He will be 10 next month

My ds is 10 tomorrow and utterly hopeless at remembering anything.

PE kits stay in school for months after I have asked him to bring them for washing.

He still had Christmas cards given to him in his school bag in February!

We turned up for his karate lesson last week to find the school was having an open evening and it was cancelled. I asked him if his instructor had mentioned this his response was - well he said something about it I think!

Drives me bonkers.

then sometimes he half remembers things but gets the details all wrong.

Like we're off next week for violin for mid-term break but back the next week (which IS actually mid-term break and when I pointed this out to him he INSISTED he got it right but he hadn't hmm)

Dd1, 9, is awful at remembering! It drives me crazy!

Where as ds, 6, is really pretty good most of the time!!

Kerry, DS1 (also 9) is exactly like this. He is banned from wearing a school jumper now because the jumper just never makes it home!

do you think it's hormones at this age?

school jumpers aren't cheap!

he has left his coat I don't know how many places now and it's freezing out. you think he'd be cold enough to remember to put his coat on.
