Behaviour/development

I want to boast about my average DD, for everyone without G and T children.

My eldest DD was very advanced and although I tried very hard not to boast I admit I was very proud of her and would rattle off her achievements to all and sundry.

Well DD2 is great, she's lovely, adorable, funny and hard work as well at times but above all else she's very average. She walked at the normal times, spoke at the normal times, reached every milestone roughly when the text books said and now at 2 and a half is just beginning to get the hang of potty training. Nothing out of the usual there but I am just as proud of her and still want to shout about her achievements, although I know most people will look at me as if I'm mad.

So here goes...Today she did a poo in her potty and several wees. She also did one or 2 on my lap.

She went to gymnastics and spectacularly failed to listen to a single instruction but she did manage to jump into a hoop.

She drew a picture of me with 2 eyes, a nose and a mouth. The nose was underneath the mouth.

At the park she didn't do anything out of the ordinary. She did ask me to push her on the roundabout very fast and then immediately fell over when she got off.

But all in all it was a good day with my averagely extraordinary daughter.
