Hi there , I know this thread is old, sorry. This is my first post.

I joined with mumsnet because I came across a discussion about AS on a google search and wanted to join in, now I can't find it. If this is the wrong place please forgive me and point me in the right direction.

Right, hi again, I am 58 and my son is 28. We have only known about his AS for the last five years (wasn't recognised when he was at school) but we always knew there was something 'different' about him and then five years ago, in the same week, two people quite independently happened to mention that they thought he might have AS. Once we researched that he ticks lots and lots of the boxes, I found myself thinking BINGO at lots of the descriptions.

Anyway, he too agrees he has this condition but does not want to go down the route of being formally diagnosed.

He also has symptoms of dyspraxia.

I'd like to learn from and contribute to discussions about AS, especially but not necessarily, in adults.

If you think there is anything suitable please point me to the right place!

Thanks

Aspergers discussions can appear in many sections, though you may find you get most response in Special Needs.

Nice to meet you Scampicat. I am also the mum of a son with AS and the neice of a man with AS. I love them both dearly.
