I just bought a book for my dd who suffers with terrible anxiety and I think it's fab. It's called "What to do when you worry too much: A kid's guide to overcoming anxiety". It teaches CBT techniques and is written by Dawn Huebener, an American clinical psychologist. My dd loves it and is really keen and willing to give it all a go. Just wanted to share really!
We only got it today and have just read it together, will start in earnest tomorrow so bit early to be waxing lyrical. She is really happy to try and deal with some of her anxiety and she likes the ideas and way they are presented. I just feel really positive for a change.
mine is 9.9 and about to go back to her old school site, the one with the rebuilt school. The old one burnt down during school hours, infront of them, causing massive trauma to a few and having bugger all effect on m ost LOL
