DS 1 yo, recently going to CM four days a week, looking tired all the time.....should I be worried?

The day I have him and at weekends I make sure he has 'good' naps. He likes going to the cm and is happy there. He just looks a lot more tired than he used to. Also tho he has starting crawling within the last month.....

ramble ramble.

Should I be worried about him looking tired, even after he has a two hour nap? He is pretty happy most of the time, maybe a bit more grumpty than usual.

Anyone else's 1yo like this or is it a bad case of pfb?

my ds is always exhausted after a day at CM - she just works 'em harder!

especially if you only have one at home. BEing surrounded by chidlrne is exciting for them.

my dd is pretty pooped after a day at nursery. I know she doesn't sleep as well there - but she is also getting more play time - hence the poopedness! She catches up on teh day I have her and at weekends!

thanks for that - Ok so it sounds normal. Anyone with older children that can reassure me this doesn't lead to any problems?

well mine is 2.7 now (how much older do you mean) - what kind of problems? The laugh is now that he naps better for her than me, and I struggle to get him to sleep at night but I don;t think thats anything to do with Cm just a phase he's going through.

Does he actually get a nap at the childminder's?

also being in a new environment is tiring for them IMO. Takes a littel while until CM's house feels like "their" house IYSWIM.

yes, he has two shortnaps at CMs, ie about 45mins, whilst at home he will have 1.5 hours.

I see what you mean about the new and exciting enviroment. I just feel bad when he looks so tired......it's the only bit baout going back to work that has made me feel like that.

But I think from all your kind responses that I am worrying over nothing. I'll just make sure he naps well at the weekend.

I guess it was prompted by the fact he DOESN'T seem to catch up at weekends and when I have him, that's why I was worrying.
