Is it possible for a toddler to be either a morning toddler or a night owl?

I've noticed this in DS - he seems to be rather relaxed during the day, but after dinner, he's just a ball of energy and racing around. He doesn't have any food that would account for it so I'm wondering if he's just actually more of a night owl than a morning person...

Is this possible at this early age? Both DH and I are quite slow starters in the morning so....

yes I think its possible, just like other temperamental / character traits.

I do find with my toddler that he gets a bit over excited when he is actually quite tired and has gone beyond the point of rest, if that makes sense. So if he's too late to bed he's more likely to race around the room.
